Only thing I can imagine is that the controller is faulty, or that Windows might have had an update messing with the XB controller. Personally I use a DS4 and it works perfect. And yes, I read that the controller is brand new, but controllers might start acting up even after days. Its really more likely that something happens after a month than after two years if you treat it nice.
Any other recommendations for PC controllers? I saw the steelseries stratus xl also gets decent reviews.
Cliffs, yes I tried unplugging everything except the XBox1 controller. I do use a wireless Logitech Keyboard/Mouse combo.
Is it possible you have a keypad like Razer Tartarus of Logitech G13?
Launched 2019 for the first time today, but played TGC1 & 2 without any issue so far, and I'm having same issue, not much time to actually check
But while passing by, I must say that almsot every time I had a controller issue in a game, it was somehow related to another input device (most of the time, Keypad)
