Can't get game controller to work in TGC19 game?

Can't get game controller to work in game? I really likke the TGC19 a lot but I can only play it with the mouse and keyboard.How do you set the game up to work with a game controller?

In option , You have In command , mouse or Controller, are you sure you have make controller for the swing ?

yeah, I chose controller in Options and made controller for left stck swing.It doesn't work at all for the PC game

is the controller recognised by widnows, check that first.
and what controller? both xbox 360 and xboxone work out of the box.

Plug in the controller before starting the game.

Make sure that to only use the controller when you start the game. If you use you mouse or keyboard to click on the first menu, the game will determine that you want to use K/M.

It must be a Xinput compatible controller and must be loaded at game boot up.

I am having similar issues with a steam controler - the controller will work fine with other games but with TGC the controller takes a bit to show up and when it does the keybindings are not aligned with the buttons and some fuctions are completely missing (shot shaper, practice swings).

Does the Steam controller have an Xinput compatibility Mode? If not it won't work, the game doesn't support Dinput device configurations on the PC.

It has it, but the game completely scrambles the bindings. For example any D-Pad functions will be rotated by 90 degrees.

Doesn't sound like it's setup to emulate a 360 controller to me if it's doing that.

No, I've had to spend a few hours working out the mappings from scratch, and I can't figure out how to get the game to let me take a practice swing as the "left click" activator is mapped to either "start" or "select" from a xbox controller for the game.

Every other game I've used the steam controler with has no issues in recognizing the controller and mapping the controls properly.
