There is a different bond to a child between men and women whether we like it or not. The father doesn't carry the baby for 9 months.
Games aren't just experiences where the character is your avatar, they're also stories that unfold through gameplay. In this case it's a woman.
It's like looking at a wonder woman comic and complaining you want a wonder man comic instead.
While I agree with your overall assessment about character gender...I have to comment on the mother/father/child bonding... look I get they carry it for 9 months... but honestly a man can bond with his child just as much as a woman if not moreso in some cases. This doesn't discredit that both have different roles and both can and should be written differently for different expieriences. I disagree the bond is different though. Ive seen plenty stories of heartbroken fathers who didn't get their child (my own father being one).I've also seen mothers that don't care but get the child because "the bond is more special" I honestly and truly think that mentality should go the ♥♥♥♥ away because it geniunely has ruined lives before.. However, thats not to say I think there aren't gender specific moments and dialogue that definately make it nigh on impossible to just switch character genders in a story written specifically for one and that its not just simply changing a she to a he (or in other cases a he to a she), I 100% agree on that.
How do you deal if it's a fantasy race or creature? Do you worry about how big their ding-dong is? If it's too big, would you need a slider so that you can set it to ideal penile length?
Thanks in advance, this is for a project. I love you.
But let's take a moment to think a little bit outside of the box. What if the reason for the OP to want to play as a father is for some bad life experience as a unloved son (by his mother) or maybe he is a father that for some reason can't parent his child because of a bad mother...
+1 Im with op no man chart no buy
+1
If you read a book and don't like a character you don't call the author and say to him/her : "Hey that character is uninteresting, change your story or i resell this book !"
If you can't accept it just don't buy it. There is sooooo many games on steam and elsewhere.
I think the main problem here is that people like OP don't read books.
