Cant change the Dragon color?

So I notice I plaid the boy first and the boy had red clothes and a reddish colored dragon. And at the end of the game the Girl that appeared had blue clothes and a blue dragon. Coincidence? So when I started new game + I chose the girl instead of the boy but still got the red draggon... So Is there a way to change the dragons color too or are you just stuck with the red dragon boy or girl?

You will always play as the red dragon.

That sucks lmao should be a bonus like for completing a goal you get the blue dragon skin! or a white dragon skin or gold or something lol
