That depends on what you mean by real time. Yes, you can interact with other players in real time, i.e. send them messages in order to chat with them, for example. You can also visit other players' zoos and click the pins to gain star halves, which in turn will give you daily bonuses in the form of cards or card pieces similar to those found in booster packs.
