Easily one of the dumbest concepts in the base game.
I guess it makes sense for corrupted levels as even heal-bot toys on that idea, it's not always you would see him though. (still a gimmick and an annoying one esp on a good run but nothing that's very dramatic imo.)
tip for op is to shoot healbots, that way you can just ignore this mechanic altogether as real one will take damage, the fake one will spew healing cells instead.
