Missing mouse-click inputs.
I frequently find myself hammering the mouse to fire but nothing happens This happens with all mouse buttons, left, right, and the melee button. I've tested three mice and it still happens. I'd estimate it happens with around 3% of mouse clicks, but can happen several times in a row, and it's definitely gotten me killed. And no, it's not because the gun is overheating. I haven't noticed it happen with movement, just clicking. This doesn't happen with any other games.

This is also happening to me. I have this game on my desktop and laptop and this only happens on my laptop and it only happens to this game, so it is not my mouse. Desktop is a custom rig with MSI Gaming motherboard, i7 gen 8 or 9, and RTX 2080. Laptop is Razer brand with 10th gen i7 and RTX 2060.

Upon further experimentation I seem to have resolved this issue on my laptop by capping my frame rate to 144 (my screens refresh rate) in the game settings. I did not turn on V-Sync as that can cause input lag.

I've also been having this exact same issue, but id say mine misses WAY more clicks. It misses actually all mouse input sometimes, including the side buttons on the mouse (i use it instead of Q for the abilities). In a game that can move as frantically as this, its ALWAYS noticeable when my mouse input is eaten for like 2-3 seconds in a row, and its beyond infuriating. Like you this isnt happening in any other game for me, but the frame rate capping option does not work for me. I've tried multiple things now, including checking most of my mouse hardware settings and even trying a different mouse all together but nothing works.

Have you tried switching to Fullscreen instead of Borderless?

Also we're trying to find the source of the issue but so far we're not finding a way to fix it. We're continuing our investigation, sorry for the inconvenience.

I am running into this. I thought this was a mouse issue, then a Windows issue, but this really only happens in RoboQuest. Sometimes my weapon doesn't fire once, sometimes I am left awkwardly strafing for 5+ seconds hitting the button until my weapon finally starts firing.

This is really a run-ending bug and I think it should be fixed.

More often than not I end up keeping the click pressed and switching weapons with the keyboard without ever letting go, so I don't risk being left defenseless by the bug. Of course that doesn't work with precision weapons.

Workarounds appreciated.

Hey there.

Have you tried switching to 'Fullscreen' display settings rather than 'Windowed'?

You can also try hitting Alt/P when launching the game in order to force-fullscreen.

If the issue persists, it means this has something to do with an issue we're trying hard to track down and fix but to no avail for now unfortunately.

We're sorry you're experiencing this issue :(

Fullscreen helped. Maybe it should be the default? Unless you have a plan to fix this, defaulting to an option with limited benefit and a game-breaking bug seems dangerous.

Same. And no other game does it, so it's certainly this one.

This is happening to me as well. Fullscreen helped.

One more game that this has happened to me in is Smite, and I can't help but notice that it also is made with the unreal engine.

Same. Fullscreen does not help. My poor mouse will be crashed soon even if I know that is not her fault.

Just chiming in to say that I've tried capping the framerate, fullscreen, windowed, borderless, V-Sync on/off.. it just keeps happening. Very frustrating since the main point of a shooter is.. well.. TO SHOOT, and the game not recognising a simple M1 imput is.. alt-f4 inducing to say the least.

Hopefully the devs fix this very critical core issue, because otherwise, the game is amazing!!

So I recently reformatted my laptop and, since it was offered, upgraded to Windows 11. After the Win11 upgrade, I started to encounter this problem. I've yet to try any of the fixes, yet, but I thought the devs should be made aware that it could be related to the operating system.

I'm on windows 11. I don't have any issues.
Granted I do use custom keybinds, but they don't effect my left click, and I never had the issue even before the changed keybinds.

Necro: This issue was almost non-existent for me with whatever version was before the current hotfix. Since the hotfix I now have very frequent occurrences of my mouse inputs (left/right and side-buttons) not registering for up to 5 seconds at a time.

Things I've tried, in various combinations:
* Fullscreen
* No background programs which aren't minimized to notifications area
* Single monitor instead of dual
* Native monitor resolution instead of supersampled
* V-Sync on/off
* Frame rate limited to varying degrees
* Triple and Double Buffering

It occurs to me now I can try PowerToys' always-on-top function, which I'll be doing next, though I'm more inclined to think there's some sort of anti-cheat backend which is interfering somewhere (do you guys have any sort of anti-cheat baked into the game...?)

I'm playing the game on Gamepass.

Edit: using the always-on-top function didn't have any effect. I also tried moving my secondary monitor such I have to very carefully move my cursor up through the top-left corner of my screen, but it doesn't seem to be an issue of my mouse going on an adventure 'out of bounds' either, and fullscreen with no secondary monitor would alleviate that issue in any case, which it doesn't.
