Anyone here a Gunfire Reborn player?
While I dont play very many shooters I loved Gunfire Reborn and Roboquest's trailers make me think of it. Has anyone else here played Gunfire Reborn? How does Roboquest compare?

For the record what attracted me so much to Gunfire Reborn was the fact that it didnt limit itself by trying to make all the guns realistic so there was a fantastic variety of weapons to choose from. Their system of creating various synergies between abilities and weapons was a ton of fun too.

I played both and like them a lot. Roboquest is a lot more fast paced and can be overcome with mechanical skill but assembling a correct build is still important or else you suffer against your typical dmg checks. You have a good amount of content to explore, different classes to experiment with and enough difficulty options to find the one that suits you best.

In short, a bit more mechnical skill is needed and rng is less punishing, since most options are not downright detrimental.

Both games are awesome.
Robo is more high pace and more gun focused.
Gunfire has abit more "rpg feel" concerning abilities and builds imo.

If you love Gunfire and wanna play more games similar. Roboquest would always be my nr 1 recommend. Both games are well worth 100+ hours

Both games are great, but different feel to each. I'd rate them about the same (although I haven't finished Roboquest).
Complexity level feels higher in Roboquest, and I played the Owl in GFR :)

I would heartily recommend both Gunfire Reborn and Roboquest. I'd also strongly recommend Battle Shapers, which is sorta like Roboquest with a little Megaman, but singleplayer only. Since this thread isn't about Battle Shapers, I won't go into that recommendation more, but it's very fun.

Gunfire is up to 4 players... Roboquest is only solo or 2 players.

I'd echo what everyone else said. Gunfire is a bit more about "breaking the game" in order to beat harder difficulties, but you're also less agile (most of the time). Gunfire is more of a game about playing strategically so you don't die, whereas Roboquest is a bit more action-movie-with-robots. Roboquest isn't easy, but it's easier than Gunfire since you can be more evasive. It's not quite a "boomer shooter" (I can't handle those anymore), but it's much faster moving than Gunfire Reborn.

I'd say that the player characters are a bit better distinguished in Gunfire Reborn - each hero there feels very different. The Roboquest heroes DO feel different from one another and get unique abilities, but there's more overlap in upgrades than in Gunfire. There's also more variety in weapons/upgrades in Gunfire, and unique synergies. Roboquest still has a good variety, but some of its variety comes from branching/forking biome paths (unlike Gunfire's "you go in this order"), and unlockables hidden on the maps. That's not to say that you'll end up with the same build over and over or something, just that Gunfire has both ascensions and scrolls, and they're intermingled in Roboquest, meaning getting a build to synergize is more of a crapshoot.

Gunfire reborn and RoboQuest have different philosophies about clearing the game.
Roboquest is more reliant on the players actual "shooter" skill, while in Gunfire, it's more important to get a good talent and occult scroll build going.
In Roboquest, no matter what talents you have and what weapons you wield, if you get hit a few times to often, you die.
In Gunfire reborn, you can become literally immortal for the current run.
The right combination of skills and scrolls will enable you to stand still in full enemy fire and not go down.
