Good advice, but saying "Cryo is ehh" is a mistake. Cryo grants auto - crit with mastery, that will win the game for you.
that's all you need to do
1. Difficulty spike in Fields, Aqua Station and so on. You blast through first two levels and then you get wrecked and bombed from every side.
2. The amount of enemies: simply reducing the amount of enemies especially in closed rooms would solve the issue.
Standard should definitely be nerfed, but that probably won't happen since the devs are stubborn and there are plenty of "gAme iS ToO eASy gET GuT" masochists here.
You just have to upgrade the camp, learn to move/dodge/slide, get hook and gatget and try to pick specific builds. As soon as u do all of this, only guardian 4 can make some problems to you.
Finding a robot that suits you helps. Try them all out, find the one you like the most, and then stick with him.
I do agree that the jump of difficulty from easy to normal is quite harsh compared to normal to hard, and hard to guardian 1, and guardian 1 to guardian 2 etc. I do think they should rename the current easy to very easy, and implement a new difficulty between the old easy and current normal, to make it less frustrating to try and ease into higher difficulties for people who may be inexperienced in roguelites or shooters or both. Currently the difficulty curve really reminds me of Ninja Gaiden Black, where Easy was basically god mode baby games journalist mode that's borderline impossible to lose on and the game even made fun of you for playing it, and Normal was incredibly tough to even get past the second level.
take slightly too much damage per hit. Had a purple gun at stage 2 with fire build going. pretty much one shotting everything still got killed in closed circle room. few 'mistakes' and its game over regardless of your 'build'. too punishing. same reason i got over Deadlink.
Gunfire has better scaling difficulty
do what i say to increase your skill you just need to turn up the song music in the setting
more louder = more skilled
That is probably because the defensive part of the game is not elaborated. It is always offense, offense. That works if you have a powerful energy weapons with working perks. Even with a super powerful combo one mistake will get more than half of your health.
