The Rift is a race to the finish, which getting there requires a race to the door in the first place. It's easy enough, might take a couple tries.
Waste Station gives you a very gracious timer, plenty of time to run past all the enemies.
And Doom Gardens has you run through an area filled with explosive enemies, Kill the big green guys for more time.
And the game always keeps track of your time and ranks it, it is, for the most part, quite lenient. All the higher ranks do is give you extra power cells, the in game currency per run to spend on upgrades.
