Game looks blurry on max settings?
As the title says, i find the game to be blurry when play, i have everything set to max and its on my default resolution of 1920x1080p

I am using a lenovo legion 5 (2021), with an AMD 5600h, RTX 3050 and 16gb of ram

The Antialiasing Method. Temporal Antialiasing is making the blur, trust me, in basically every game they have it in, you want it turned off that setting.

I think that helped a bit, but the game still kinda looks off, i guess im not used to the art style.

Hmmm. If you don't mind crispy kinda pixely edges, I always turn off Antialiasing, and Anisotropic Filtering (Anisotropy). I find those 2 make games more crisp with them off. That is just a personal option though. Other than that, can't think of any other things to make it more crisp.

I see this too; it's almost like "upsampling" in other games, where they RENDER the game internally at some resolution smaller than your display, then "scale" the rendered frame/texture up to your display resolution. It's ... weird.

Do you use desktop "scaling" in Windows, by chance? I have mine set at 150% (because I'm old, and have terrible vision), and I wonder if that affects it? (NOTE: It shouldn't... Unreal shouldn't even KNOW about it, but...)

unrelated, but as advice... if you play with unlocked fps, you might want to use v-sync. or turn off v-sync and limit the fps. the game can get really high fps, and the warning you see in red letters is there for a reason! don't complain if your system overheats. js
some people complain about heat, and i am pretty sure they use the same setting as you.

about the blur... you can turn off AA completely, and change/override it in the driver directly. or maybe use DSR and no AA at all. what gpu do you use? fyi, always good to post that info if you have technical issues.

have fun

no it doesn't affect games at all.

vync and limiting my fps doesn't change anything for temps, cpu still hits 90 c at peak (which is insane because not even cyberpunk went that high)

turning off AA doesnt really make a difference and I cant seem to find DSR, its not in the game nor is it avalible in my geforce settings.

As for my gpu, its a RTX 3050, i had posted that info in my original post

the game looks terrible
kill a boss, check the explosion
its odd, none of this existed in the original
nothing you can turn off will change the look of the game as you are seeing it
thats what the devs want

note: this sadly is an epic game. not steam
not..

I'm having the same issue - alongside needing to run Windowed to get Borderless, and sometimes Fullscreen to get Windowed, all in the wrong aspect ratio and resolution despite being on an ordinary 1440p 16:9 monitor.

The whole game looks fuzzy and upscaled, and without TAA it looks like it's running at sub-720p despite the menu claiming it's at 1440, or even 4k.

I think the issue is with the graphics settings/menu themselves.

heya

The game isnt upscaled, it didnt originally look like this.
Also id suggest not trying for UWHD tv
this isnt that kinda game

note:
what do you mean windowed or borderless mode?
what is your aspect ratio?
what is your os scaling?
what is the exe set to in compat for scaling?

tons of things to try

the issue for blurry... IS THE GAME and that is that..
but as for aspect, thats up to your hardware

I try telling people dont use insane tvs for games like this but meh

hugs and hopes
post back
just remember you can tell MS to f off with dpi override
OR manually go to scaling>make everything bigger> and REDUCE that to 100% only
not 125 not 200%
100%

with hope

Looks very blurry for me as well. Also has poor FPS. 4080/13700K

anything you limit is the gpu and its temp. vsync and such have nothing to do with the cpu temps. when did you clean your case the last time?

depends what one expects the game to look like. i like the style.
the explosions were always super oldschool pixel sprites. sorry, but i really liked them back in alpha and early access. i actually said "you have to keep them as a joke", since the game is kinda inspired by doom, quake, and such. it might not fully fit the style, but it's kinda funny. an option to have a game style, and an oldschool/alpha look would be awesome.

poor fps? i get 120+ maxed out in 21:9 on a 2070. your system seems to be the problem there. just a guess though... your gpu should be able to handle this just fine.

the explosion was the same in the early access version.

yes im aware of what the explosion is
I have not only been early access but beta too
just seems odd, and yes its a homage to doom2
or rott etc

just wanted to point out to the people trying 4k UWHD monitors to understand the game just looks like this
anyone remember XIII ?
the origninal not remake

people hated that, and I loved it, cell shading

this imo was done to let everyone play..
as for the blur, lets hope they let us fix that later
the settings in the menu for pc are far lacking options

hugs and hopes

its always going to look , either blurry or grainy depending
id choose blurry

please note it will look worse if you upscale it, which your os WILL do or try
so make sure to set dpi scaling override properly
and lower the res
trust..
or dont
odd people play non UHD games in UHD modes
same with fps
I stick with 59.89fps on avg
because thats what I want not what I can pull
hugs again

maybe they added this one later on, but it looked way different in the earlier versions.
