there was a thread about this topic in the past. if i remember correctly, the devs said there won't be a save like that. i could be wrong though. i'll ask, but since they're busy atm for obvious reasons...
Shame to hear it will never be implemented as well, what a shame!
I know how roguelites work. Pretty cheap excuse to not add such simple qol feature like other ROGUELITES do.
i also don't know if it might be implemented later r not. otherwise, i would have posted a source.
i know games with and without midgame "save", where you basically just pick up again and continue. i also know enough without it. i don't mind either. one can be picked up and stopped at any time, the other needs more time or planning.
join their discord, if you want to talk to the dev or make suggestions. might be easier there to find details about certain game related things.
i stopped at some point, because that changelog is looooong.
The community has been asking for this feature for over a year now!
And every single modern roguelite game has an option to save in the middle of the run. Some even allow you to leave in the middle of the fight (Inkbound and Slay the Spire, for instance) and then continue from that very moment or from the beginning of the fight.
Do you think other indie rogulites have large teams?
Would it at least be possible to have a warning in the game that your progress will be lost if you exit? Shouldn't take you more than a few hours including QA.
Congrats to 1.0 guys!
Got the game, but on GOG, just because of this - devs who actively skim the forums to answer legit questions.
Inkbound and StS are on different engines and have different methods of saving of saving progress. Just because one RL has a saving feature doesn't mean its as easy to implement on them all. Throwing other Devs and other teams at someone else to compare is not only insulting but also a massive display of ignorance.
Go circle the block and get some of your agitation out before you try throwing people under a bus.
