I'm trying to play the new 1.0 update, but when I go to the discord server to follow the directions for install and all that, It makes me put my phone number and stuff in before I can talk or anything. But when I put my phone number in and input the code that it sends, it just says "An existing discord account is already using this number. Please remove it before it can be used with a new account" But I don't have any other accounts, nor any other phone numbers.....Can someone help me fix this please?

I got it figured out guys. Had to contact discord support and have them help me with it. Thanks for trying to help me though everyone.

I didnt need to add anything since my phone number was linked to dsc from beginning. I it is trully about discord itself. Their server just try to verify your information and if u did not add phone number, then it will kinda redirect u to section where you add your number to your discord account. My friend had to do the same and in the end this step added his number to his account and he was able see it in discord setting.

Anyway if you are saying you dont use your number in any discord account you may verify this, since u can log in to discord via email or phone number, so if you see msg about your number exist in different account, then simply log out from your account, open discord again and you will have to sign in, instead of your email, add your phone number and hit forgot password, you should get verification code to your phone via text and once you will insert this, you should be able to log in to that account which using your phone number. Then check if it is the same account or not, in any case delete your phone number from that account and log in back to your account via email and try to do whole process via roboquest server again ;)

It's been more than two years now that our server requires 2-auth process to join (nothing to do with the playtest).

Like many other servers, this was mainly done to reduce the amount of scammers that are actually using Discord to phish for Steam accounts or other things.

If you're uncomfortable with setting up a 2-auth factor on Discord I can totally understand.

Just wanted to mention it has nothing to do with the playtest itself.

Basically the idea is just that you have to link Discord with your phone number. If you don't want to, once again, I totally understand.

Thank you for the information. I got it all figured out for my end. Was just a email problem through discord. I look forward to playing the game and seeing everyone in discord chat, hope you all have a good day.
