Turning off Ranking and how it effects rewards

I initially had ranking turned off due to not really caring about that sort of system, but after turning it on it seems as though I was getting additional power cores based on my rank. I can't seem to find any concrete details on the differences in the amount of rewards you get with the system enabled vs disabled. Anyone know them?

Update: Did some testing and you seemingly do get worse rewards for playing with Ranking turned off. Less wrenches for completion and no power-cells based on performance. Would be nice to at least have the differences displayed somewhere, or for there to not be a different between the two. It's a PvE game, who cares how someone goes about earning currency.
