Trying to play with gamepad/ controller

Hello, I hope you are doing well!

I am trying to play with a PS5 controller and I am having absolutely no luck. While I know that PS5 controllers are not the go to for steam games, so I do not consider asking for an official in game way to use my PS5 controller, I am asking to see if there is a work around. I am able to use my controller on other games so I know it is not a problem of input or a faulty connection. I have downloaded x360ce and gone through the steps to set it up but even though I have transferred the information over to the game file I am still having no luck. While I would love full implementation such as games like gunfire reborn have, I can only imagine how much work you have on other much more pressing parts of the game.

Just thought I'd ask since I can't seem to figure it out on my own, thank you so much and I look forward to getting to experience what you have made!

Thanks a lot for your kind words :)

Playstation gamepad support is something that we might be adding further down the road.

In the meantime, try toying around the gamepad setting wizard of Steam to see if you can get something working (Steam -> Settings -> Controller -> General Controller Setting -> Playstation).

It might not work for now considering Unreal Engine doesn't support other controllers than Xbox by default (we need to set things up in a different way for it to also work with other controllers).

EDIT: And in the meantime you may also use a gamepad converter software.

I don't now how but after just clicking on the box in steam's settings for playstation box in the controller settings now my controller works! I've had to tweak some of the in game settings but I can't believe it is actually working. Thank you so much for your help you're awesome and once again I am so excited to be able to experience what you have made!
