That is a pretty interesting feedback that we received many times.
It's something that we can't do for now (and surely not up until release), but considering the amount of people asking for it (not that much, but still quite a few) it is something we'd like to study later on in/after the development.

EDIT: The main issues being multiplayer performance, level design and difficulty / reward balance. The game has been thought for 1-2 players and all the balancing systems go in that sense.
