Advice for someone having difficulty playing?

Hi UA community fans! :)
So, I loved UU1 and UU2. Gladly supported UA at a very high tier on KS.
Then when it was released, tried playing it... couldn't.
I just had too much trouble aiming arrows, reflexes etc
So I gave up and consigned it to the bin of "wasted money".
Now I am willing to have another crack at it.
Has anyone created mods that make it easier/ more forgiving to play please, especially with regards to targetting?
I can still play UU1 and UU2 on GOG, and have no problem with the mechanics. But somehow I find UA vastly more difficult to wrestle with the controls.

Hi! As far as I know, at the moment, there seems to be no modding support. In fact, only recently did the devs( I assume) divulge some files that could enable mod support, and there's even a beta branch on the steam launcher for the game, but no one seems to have picked it up at all.
I asked about that as well, but no answers yet.
