No option to talk to Fane

I released Fane frome his cage, but there is no option to talk to him or ask for help as it is intendet to be, and the quest dont update . Stuck now,

try closing the cage again, then reopen. like you haven't already tried that right. sheesh this game is buggy.

Every time I go there, his voice talks to me, but he is back at camp

I had to get really close to fane to talk with him. I think the cage door interferes if you are standing back (because you can close it again, for whatever reason).
