Tips to escape from spirit

Hi, are there any tips to hide or escape from the spirit as there are only limited hiding places in 1-2 rooms and apart from that when i hear her approaching I am mostly locked at a dead end and there is no escape. I have died multiple times due to this. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks :)

Keep flash light off and lights down, when she approaches you take a picture of her, this will kill her temporarely.

I tried that trick of turning off my flashlight and turning my lights off and crouching low in a corner of the room. However, she is still always able to locate me. Also, the second time when she came running at me I took her picture but that didn't seem to stop her and I still got killed.

It needs to be dark, you need to surprise her with the lights to kill her.

I think all monsters see in the darkness so 'hiding' in dark won't do anything.

When you wake up at 3:41am, you have 4 minutes before the vengeful spirit is released. Spend that time either doing your task or finding the light switches that work. You have to turn on the light as she's standing under or around them. In the absence of a close light switch, you usually have time to throw up your camera and use its flash to make her go away very temporarily. Then, go straight for the closest light switch, and throw it on when your heartbeat races. It's a hard thing to get the timing right at the beginning.

I finally succeeded with the camera. Apparently its to be done at exactly at the right time to surprise her. The strategy of light switches do not seem to be working for me, maybe I am doing something wrong or it could be a glitch.
