Report a translation problem
I never let it get to that point, but I think that it's possible to beat the game, even if you take too long. It just becomes much more difficult, since the monsters will destroy various settlements (and their merchants / quest givers) at certain dates.
I found a forum post on Spiderweb's Web site where someone figured out what day(s) the destruction of the different settlements is supposed to take place. What day is it in your game?

Thanks for the link. I've seen that thread, but I've never seen anyone post about not being able to get everything done, so I was just curious. It would really bother me to get to the end of the game and be told I failed to complete my goals. Some reviewers have posted that the time limit ruined the game for them because they like to take their time in these games. I may eventually start a new game to see how quick I can finish, but I'm not going to rush for now.
