Didn't Avadon 3 come out just last year?
However, people don't finish games much anymore. Look at the achievement percentages for just about any game on Steam. Divinity: Original Sin 2 is a huge hit, but the percentage of the people who have finished it is tiny.
Well, I am playing on torment, which obviously takes longer than normal difficulty and I also want to explore absolutely everything. So my stats so far for finishing these games:
Avadon 1: 102 hours
Avadon 2: 87 hours (become much easier due to the somewhat overpowered tinkermage)
Avadon 3: 74 hours
Avernum EFtP: 159 hours (incl all achievements)
Avernum 2: CS: 137 hours (incl all achievements)
I have 150+ hours as well on torment on both remakes, i started both games three times and always stopped playing with all quests done except the main three.
Now i will finish ruined world, go back to escape and souls to my last saves and finish it as well.
That will be the end of series for me and thanks to Spiderweb for those games. I missed them somehow back at 2k, because that was time of uo and cs for me.

In fact, I loaded up Avernum 2 and even found my old savegame just to be sure I finished it. Sure enough, there is a save named ENDGAME but damned if I can remember what the hell happened. That's not a commentary on the quality of the ending so much as the deterioration of my memory.
I also finished Avadon 1, though I haven't been able to complete the second, each time I get interrupted by something. I'll admit to never completing a Geneforge game, despite getting 98% through the first and about halfway through the second and third.
They're LONG games, and the endgame can get a little bit tedious, but well worth it.
Was so proud as a kid when we sent off our money, and got the multiple floppy disks for Exile 2: Crystal Souls.
