Finding the Hint Book if You Have Trouble

Some who buy the Avernum 3 hint book are having trouble actually finding the files. Steam’s current system can make it a little tricky to find hint books and other extras.

To actually get at the hint book, follow these steps …

1. Right click (Control-click on Mac) "Avernum 3: Ruined World" in the games list in your Steam library.
2. Select "Properties."
3. In the "Local Files" tab, select "Browse Local Files."
4. All your goodies are in the "Deluxe Edition" folder. You can drag them to your desktop for easy access.

First off, why are you selling something you always offered for free and its not like the cheat codes have changed between games. So again why are you selling something you've already given us?

I'm afraid that the hint book has never been free, not since we started this company in 1994. I'm sorry if you think it's overpriced, but we need to sell things to stay in business.

I remember buying the hint book for Exile 3, complete with its maps and descriptions of details. It was worth every cent.
