Alchemage

Alchemage

Is this game still alive?
Any plans for new updates, a roadmap, any news?

well that's a shame, a cute alpaca, terraria like game DID sound like fun...

From my understanding, This game has only two people working on it amidst COVID-19 restrictions. Probably remotely. I am not trying to excuse anything, though. Potential buyers should look through as much in-game footage as they can to get a sense of what is in Alchemage already and how much playtime they could put into it.

Despite being a supporter of sandbox metroidvanias myself, I am kinda iffy on this one. Not because I doubt the developers are doing everything they can for it but rather because I would like a game in my library that I can actually spend a good amount of time on. I want to know that development won't end here if there isn't all that much in it.

Right now I am deciding whether I should support these guys right now or wait a bit to see what else comes in. 50% off is a good deal, though. We shall see.

The game got cancelled by the original studio at one point and they revived if I remember right that's why I was curious to know if they make any progress after a couple years, to be honest I will wait for updates or any real progress on the project before buying even at a discount.

I play regularly, and It has a lot going for It, I haven't met any NPC's yet, that would boost My construction knowledge, but It is simply a World of Flavor, with marvelous MENU options, the writing is on the wall

Game has also been out since 2017.

yes, it's been a while and is very much alive, but will need a lot of negotiation to bring It to a level where the community can really get active at later levels of playstyle
