Most achievements unlock from each catagory but...

So I have been playing for about 2 hours and I completed every book 2x and found every hidden object. I have all but about 700 achievements as all of the achievement groups have partally unlocked for me but not all the way. I have about 7-10 of each group sitting in the unlocked position. (grey-black colors if anyone needs to know)... As I am restarting... I sometimes get a random batch of like 7 to unlock after a long wait (as in re-reading all the books AGAIN)... Is this normal ?!? I feel like if I just know where the game saved I could delete and upon the game reading my data as a new file, it would just grab these last 700. I tried searching and scrubbing but the simple title lead me to some files my PC needs :( Anyone have this difficulty? Shoule I just wait it out and just keep re-reading books?

I opened every book in one sitting... and re-clicked on enveryitem that gives achievements... I'm really stuck :( I'm going to try getting every answer right as that's the last thing I can think of... But I have already read posts that say this does not matter at all...

I have heard that people having trouble getting all of their Achievements should just keep doing all of their books over and over and clicking all objects over and over and to restart the game after every book... How many times have you done each book and hidden object now?

I have all achievements now... I opened a discussion in the pinned section and had to try a combination of EVERYTHING that was suggested there... The culprit was the newly added footprint books... I had to: delete the game, Use regedit to delet the game data, play all the books again and exit after each book was 100% correct answered, then go back to the footprint books and answer 4 questions, wait 10 minutes on the 5th question doing nothing at all, and then answer correctly. Then and only then did they start unlocking! I had to repeat this action on all 8 footprint books to get all 700 missing achievements! Very annoying and seemed unnecessarily involved to get this done but it’s what it took to complete the game!

Prior to this I had done every book 2x and footprint books 5x... no dice!

Delete that entire folder. You should look inside first and is has 5 files... One has the file that says Name - REG_SZ - BOOKS so you are sure... If you are having trouble... Hit Ctrl+F and click all three boxes and have it search for books. It may take a few "find next"s but it will get you here.

It’s been a year since I played this... I think you have to click into the 3rd area (the footprint books) to trigger those? I could be wrong after this much time has passed though!
