Is there any way to find the hidden items other than luck?

Just wondering if there is some sort of pattern or trick to finding them or if the only way to find them is really to go around digging holes and hoping you find something?

Hidden items are hide only these point!
Watch green alien ,when green alien walk on hidden treasure ,he (or she) ring S.E. and effect.
