Issues with controller
So that's weird. Trine4 seems to have issues with my PS4 controller - direction not registering, Arrows firing by themselves, or refusing to fire after letting the trigger go. While my controller have seen some use, those issues seem to be unique to Trine4, out of curiosity I launched Spelunky2 and Trine2 and both play just fine.

Unfortunately this is most likely happening because Trine 4 doesn't officially support PS4 controllers. The game has native support for X-input controllers only, that is Xbox 360, Xbox One and compatible controllers. However, you can still try remapping your controller via Steam's Big Picture mode using Steam's own controller emulation and see if that helps.

To do this, launch Steam in Big Picture Mode. If you haven't used Big Picture before, you can launch it from your Steam library from View > Big Picture Mode. Next, make sure your controller is connected to your PC and navigate to Library > Trine 4 > Manage Game > Controller Configuration.

If remapping doesn't help, I can only recommend you to use a different controller or play with a keyboard and a mouse. Sorry for the added inconvenience!

I see. Thank you for the reply. While it doesn't quite solve my issue, I do appreciate the effort.

I have been using steam's controller emulation. I will play with it some more and see if I can fix the issue. Otherwise - keyboard and mouse it is!

I am using ds4windows program, it's quite known and popular, all it does is simulates your ps4 controller as xbox360.
