Are the Trine games worth for Solo?
I just want to play single player and have fun , have no interest in co-op

I have played every Trine game multiple times solo and enjoyed it every time. In short: yes, it is worth it.

Yes they are. All of them. There is frequent discount on the bundle.
For Trine 4, you must select Classic game otherwise you won't be able to complete the puzzles that require multiple character in Unlimited mode.

I beaten all the game solo, in fact I don't think there are any significant advantage playing with multiple players. The puzzle difficulty doesnt change regardless you are playing coop and solo, as some areas are more difficult to pass for certain character while a breeze to certain another. Combat wise, i dont know if having all 3 heroes is any better. Certain boss has aoe attacks so having more players is just harder.

They do in unlimited mode (you may need 2 boxes, 2 shields or 2 ropes to solve puzzles, hence 2 Amadeus, 2 Pontius or 2 Zoyas)
