Report a translation problem
Thanks for the report, it has been forwarded. We're looking into a fix for how the game counts the EXP per checkpoint, but for now I can only recommend to load the level from the previous checkpoint and replaying that part to get the experience. Sorry about the trouble!
How can i solve this?
Thank you
It sounds like Steam may have just failed to read your save data for some reason, so you should try restarting Steam again.
If your save still doesn't show up after restarting Steam, it's possible that Steam Cloud might be clashing with the save data on your hard drive. Try turning off Steam Cloud saves by right clicking Trine 4 in your Steam library, then selecting Properties > Updates. Then uncheck the box in front 'Enable Steam Cloud synchronization for Trine 4'. Note that the game can't be running when you do this. After this it's recommended to restart Steam again, then try the game again.
Sorry for the inconvenience, and let me know if these didn't help.
That's really strange. Do you get this error every time? When did it start happening?
It's possible that this is caused by Steam Cloud somehow clashing with the save data on your hard drive, so please try disabling Steam Cloud (while the game is not running). You can do this by right-clicking Trine 4 in your Steam library, then choosing Properties > Updates > Steam Cloud. Just uncheck the box in front of 'Enable Steam Cloud synchronization for Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince'.
Let me know if this didn't help. Sorry for the trouble!

Even turning off the steam cloud option I am still losing my save.
Every time I start the game my save is gone.
This happens since the first time I started playing.
It sounds like there's a save file that's conflicting with the game for some reason. We can try to solve the issue by resetting the saves entirely.
First, make sure that Steam Cloud is disabled, then log out and turn off Steam. Then navigate to a folder that looks like this:
...Steam\userdata\[your Steam ID]\690640\remote
Your Trine 4 saves are stored there. Delete the whole remote folder. This should reset the saves and stop them from conflicting, but unfortunately you will lose any progress that you've made so far, so you have to start the game from the beginning once again.
After deleting the remote folder, turn on Steam and restart the game. I recommend keeping Steam Cloud disabled for the game because it may have tried to save some old progress and it can start conflicting with the saves again.
Yes I tried, and it's still not working at all /:, still can't find or browse any online game.
I'm sorry to hear that it didn't help. Can you please go to Main Menu > Options and check what build version of the game you have? As said before it should be in the bottom right corner of the screen.
Oh sorry, didnt see you asked ! My current build version is v1.0.0 (build 8109)
Trine 4 release V1.0.0 build 2019/10/30 0:915 revision: 374505 exception code 0xc000005 address 0x00007FFCC93D2D93 in physX3_x64.dll: 0007FC93D2000 related modules: trine 4.exe nt.dll physX3_X64.dll Kernal32.DLL Mini dump k:\steam111\steamapps\common\Trine 4 The Nightmare Prince\trine4.exe_885629.dmp press CTRL+C to copy this message.
I am thinking it is a NVIDIA physics X error, but I have recently updated my Nvidia drivers and are current at driver version 441.34. Any help please thanks in advanced.
Thanks for the answer! It looks like the correct version of the game has installed, so the issue can't be caused by that.
I asked our QA for advice with this and it sounds like the game could be having problems communicating with our master server for some reason. You can test if this is the case rather easily by pinging our master server:
You should receive a reply that looks something like this: Reply from 192.81.220.187: bytes=32 time=26ms TTL=51. It should give you a reply 4 times.
If you get that reply, please check also what it says a little lower at Packets: Sent and Received. The number should be the same for both Sent and Received if the connection is working properly.
There is something wrong with the connection if you get an answer like this instead:
Ping request could not find host t4.online.frozenbyte.com.
Let me know how it goes. I hope we can figure out what's causing the problems soon.
Sorry to hear you've had issues with the game. Are you playing on a laptop or a desktop? If you're on a laptop, check that the game is using the correct GPU for the game. Some laptops have a NVidia/Intel GPU combo, so if you have that, please check the NVidia Control Panel and make sure Trine 4 is using the dedicated GPU.
If you're on desktop, what Windows version are you using?
Try 441.20. I tried geforce experience now and said 441.20 is the latest game ready driver.
My version is later than that mine is 441.34 which was a hot fix got it directly off Nvidia website.
Using a desktop PC and my windows version is 10 build 1909. My specs if it helps is i9 9900X 2080ti and 32GB ram
