VEGAS Pro 15 Edit Steam Edition

VEGAS Pro 15 Edit Steam Edition

Cannot Render
When I try to render my video it says I cannot as it cannot access the Internet. I have allowed it in Microsoft Firewall, Added an exception in Windows Defender and my HOSTS file is default. I simply cannot get it to work. The only thing I can think of is Maybe the Trial version installed previously is somehow messing it up even after uninstalling.

One other thing, When it fails to get an internet connection it asks to reset my Internet settings. I allow this and Internet Explorer loads with 2 tabs, One is Magix.com and the other Microsoft.com. The Microsoft website loads straight away however the Magix site fails to load.

Please help.

I have the same problem. I try to import media but it is not possible. I get this error message. Probably because it tries to enable the codecs.

EDIT!
I can confirm you probably have to deinstall the trial version. I even had two trial versions installed (version 12 and 15) and after I deinstalled both of them it worked. :)

Thanks for trying friend but I specified that I uninstalled the trial. Glad it's fixed for you though.

Awesome, Glad my question sort of helped you guys. I'm still having trouble myself though. I'll try wiping the PC and starting fresh. Might take a while.

PS did anyone try to contact Magix on any issues. I cannot get on to their site and would appreciate any help.

Yea but, not everyone has same luxury to do the same.

There is entire troubleshooting threads with known vegas problems that you could have taken a look at vegascreativesoftware.info not to mention alot of old profesional users who might have better input then steam forums. Regardless how often you practised reinstalling OS it's still very much overkill.

Okay, I'll not do it. Instead i'll restore an Image of my machine from my server to a time before I installed and try to reinstall. :)

Okay, After refreshing Windows and Reinstalling I'm now getting a -59 error saying I have no license . I'll have to do some more searching.

Got it working. Only problem is I can't register with MAGIX as it doesn't give me a serial number. However the instructions are...

1. Open Regedit : Run -> Regedit
2. navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Wow6432Node > Sony Creative Software > Vegas Pro - Steam Powered
3. Delete Vegs Pro - Steam Powered
4. Delete your local content
5. Re-download

After that I installed and instead of Steam saying installing "1 of 1 files" it said "of 3 files".
It works now. Thanks to the support of the steam community.

Thank you :)

P.S. I rendered my YouTube intro to test and it worked. It activated the AAC/MPEG4 codec successfully.
