Singeplayer ?

So this game / expansion is a multiplayer game only or is there a story attached to it ?
I have difficulties to see this game ( as a non-vr headset owner ) as a standalone game and just a multiplayer frag fest..
Seeing the graphics and the potantial to create a story rich singleplayer game i really hope that this game will pave the way towards that kind of games..

It's multiplayer only. There is some sort of short tutorial ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ at the beginning which the devs consider "singleplayer campaign" but it's literatlly 5 mins long.

From CCP Roo during todays ama: EVE: Valkyrie – Warzone is, at its core, a competitive online multiplayer game and that's the way we want it to stay. We do have a few solo missions in the game - Recall missions, - but we put these in the game to help players get familiarised with the various maneuvers needed to survive in competitive combat, as well as give a bit of context as to where and when the game takes place in New Eden (the universe of EVE Online).

Guess I won't be touching it then. No single player campain is a deal breaker for me. We don't get good space combat games very often, and there hasn't been a good single player one in a long time. This is VERY dissapointing. A single player focused sequel/spinoff would be an instant buy for me.

The current version of EVE: Valkyrie will be retired at 10 AM ET / 3 PM BST on 26 Sept, and will become EVE: Valkyrie – Warzone for existing players after a few hours’ downtime.

Warzone will become available to download from Steam, worldwide over the coming hours, exact time depending on your location. Please follow the official @EVEValkyrie channels for any announcements. :slight_smile:

its a shame there is no single player .. really .. but i understand the choice that was made.
Maybe you guys should seriously consider it in a future expansion

There arent many good space games like this one with a singlplayer campaign ; many people are screaming for it so who knows in the next round of your brainstorm session you could throw it in the group and talk about singleplayer possibilties ?

I'm not much of a fan of competitive stuff either, but there is co-op if that helps. I'm not even a fan of multiplayer games in general, and I've been having a blast with this.

I don´t like MP games at all (i.e. I play ED always on solo), but I can say that while not having a proper SP campaign sucks, this game is still pretty fun, because you get to play with people+bots, and the controls are so simple, that is not that hard to feel like a relatively bad ass pilot. Also, the battlefield is so large, that you can easily depart from it to see the view if you are bored with the fight. I add this grain of salt because in my case, there are two deal breakers on MP games: lack of campaign and lack of time to just fly around: only the first one is lacking in this game.
