I tried it, and while yes, Tempest does run, it doesn't actually have any 3D effects of any kind. It's just a simple, flat screen with no depth, as though I were playing it on Virtual Desktop or BigScreen.
If that's not you, any idea how to edit it? I hit the delete key and played around with the sliders, but it changed nothing.
Edit: I also tried using the Unity template, and still flat as a pancake no matter how much I messed with the sliders. No visual difference between VorpX and a standard gaming theater screen.
Wow this is fantastic. My only problem now is deciding which combinations I like best. So much to play around with. lol
I noticed that the shader settings don't save after you exit the game. Does that mean I'll have to change the settings every time with no way for it to remember what shader combos I'm using?
Edit: Just had a thought. Do you suppose this same method could also work with Space Giraffe? Because that would be even trippier.
Overall I'm pretty disappointed with VorpX so far. Out of my entire library, Tempest is really the only one I've had any interest in that comes out half decent.
Did you find a decent stereoscopic 3D solution running it with vorpx? I have a 3DTV and can use the tv's 2D > 3D conversion feature but it's just not the same as nvidia 3D vision.
It runs great in Vorpx through a VR headset. I don't believe the software is capable of out putting to a 3-D TV. I could be wrong though. If you want more info on that I'd go to the Vorpx web site and question the *developer.
All of my pc output goes to a 3DTV which I use as my pc monitor and I tried T4k on a different 3DTV with some interesting 2D > 3D results. Usually I use nvidia 3DTV Play with 3D Fix Manager as many games have 3D profiles. Just was curious about the 3D with VorpX since I know the developer has personal issues with the team who made Helixvision, lifelong feud kind of issues.
The 3-D with Vorpx is great, but as I said it's made to out put to a VR head set not a 3-D TV. Although I could be wrong. Again try checking the Vorpx web page, that's all I could tell you.
