Yes, I had the same issue
Thanks for that link, I've been checking this game for a few hours. Quite beautiful, looks like the visuals are inspired by Tempest 3000. Too bad it is so slow-paced as the enemies show up mostly one by one (IMHO multiplier orbs don't make up for it)
I just came with an idea to avoid throttling during the warp round. And this time, in one run I managed to enter it... 4 times! Surely would have been more if I didn't run out of the extra lives :)
I'd be glad if somebody could confirm it. OFC I'm going to check again whether this was not a coicidence.
Tsunami 2010 is a cute but boring attempt to clone Tempest 3000. Not much more to say about it. It doesn't fetishize the .mod files and it even has support for the unreleased Defender 2000 CD, which is cool.
greetings
Tempest 2000 is not a good game, and Typhoon 2001 is even worse. You can claim to "have fun" with them all you like, but you clearly have very little knowledge of the contents of either game. That kind of ignorance is required to be able to rate these games positively.
The original Tempest and TxK/4000 do not pull the cruel tricks that 2000 and Typhoon 2001 routinely do. That's a simple fact. I'm definitely not sorry if plain old truth hurts anyone's feelings.
I own a jag with a "scart" RGB cable and running at 60Hz refresh rate and I've played the jag ver to completion many times so I know Tempest 2000 on the jag ! And right now I'm really into Typhoon 2001 and I'm loving it !
Typhoon 2001 is a great game and my homemade spinner box works with it because it has "mouse" support , Typhoon 2001 plays diff than the jag ver but it looks better than the jag ver BUT even Typhoon 2001 doesn't look as great as Tempest 4000 looks, It's not even close !
I've never played txk but I've watched many youtube videos of it and it looks pretty much the same as the jag ver with just a little more cool looking graphics thrown in, And there is no PC ver of it, Again txk is not even close to how great Tempest 4000 looks !
I only have one prob with Tempest 4000 which is it has no spinner (mouse) support, Everything else works great including all the buttons on my home made spinner box, All Tempest 4000 really needs is support for a mouse in the game and my spinner would work...
"spawn_fx: out of bounds"
and after about 5 seconds you can click an OK button to continue but when the next web starts it's a blank screen and you have to end that game and start another one ???
I'm playing it on a Core 2 Quad Xeon X5470 Computer Windows 7 with a GTX Titan 6 Gb and 8 Gb of DDR3 DRAM PC3-17066 (2133MHz)
I've never seen that before and my computer never has any kind of crashes with any programs...
