Game Doesn't Work
Hi. I just bought the game and offered it to a friend. When i launch it, it says "Pogostuck.exe stopped to work" (smth like that, translated it from french)

Another player had issues with the audio before, he couldn't even launch the game at first but when he did it ran at 2FPS or so. He wrote me the solution via e-mail:
Hey so the problem was, for some stupid reason, my speakers were plugged into my motherboards back audio panel and its messed up somehow.
I didn't think that could cause a problem but my friend kept telling me that i should switch back to the front port cause the Nahimic 2+ audio drivers I'm using only work with the front panel;
so he changed it front the back to the front audio port and i started the game and it works properly now with audio.

Can you check your audio settings, for example the default/ current playback device?

Does the actual game window open after?

Can you please set "-diag" (without quotes) as a launch option

and try launching the game again?
The game should then create an acklog.txt in the game's installation folder. Can you check that and paste the last few lines here?
If you have the game/ your whole Steam game library installed in a subfolder of "Program Files" then you will need to check "run as admin" on the Pogostuck.exe compatibility tab, otherwise it does not have the rights to write the log file to the folder.

Additionally, please check your local files in the Pogostuck installation folder. They should be around 447MB in total. For a few people the game didn't fully download at first.

Hi, thanks for answering, -diag doesn't work, i already tried that before this post ( i tried to uninstall the game and install it again, didnt worked)

Not really sure why that would help but can you try and create a settings.txt in a folder (which you have to create as well) in the following path?=>
C:\Users\YOURNAME\AppData\Roaming\Pogostuck

While you're at it, please try and add the following lines to the settings.txt:
ScreenSizeX 1280
ScreenSizeY 720
DisplayMode 0

Let me know if that works for you!


EDIT: Oh, and can you please check and report the size of your 1.kupack file? And the size of all your files combined please.

Okay thank you.
I've just uploaded a new build (Patch 14B) with more debugging information after the pp_create_rendertargets line.
Can you please update the game, try again and post the last few lines of your acklog? It should list something else now, for example the audio engine (otherwise it's DirectX crashing for whatever reason).
