Rubberband keeps breaking

You are both playing on the most recent version, right? Please check and compare your versions such as "v5 - Patch 16i" which you can find at the bottom of the Misc page under Options, thank you (you are trying to play with a (Steam) friend, right?).

I have asked players in the Pogostuck Discord. The/ a rubberband world record holder said the following:

you make a lobby and do a rubber run with someone
one player leaves and joins back
and this happens sometimes
making a new lobby fixes it

Seems like I have to investigate that but for now please use this workaround.
