- Hatchets assist Logging
- Pickaxes assist Mining
- Hammers assist Carpentry, Stone Masonry, and Blacksmithing
- Sickles assist Harvesting and Planting
- Bows/Crossbows are required by Archers in order to shoot arrows and provide no bonus (besides crossbows doing more damage)
- Fishing Poles are required by Fishermen to fish and provide no bonus (their "damage" is just applied to fish, I'm pretty sure, which they need to deplete the HP of in order to catch)
- Cudgels...probably help with cooking, but I'm unsure exactly how it works; they don't provide a bonus and do fairly little damage, so...?
- Obviously any kind of melee weapon helps Warriors, but you can equip them with just about anything; there's no boost explicitly for Warriors on anything as far as I'm aware, it's all just flat damage differences
- Mages use spellbooks, primarily, although I haven't tested the limits of what they -- or other Ancients jobs/skills -- can equip beyond that; I'm also unsure if Humans can equip these
- Laborers can seemingly equip/use anything that their race allows
There are no tools that boost/are needed by Tailors, Leatherworkers, Shepherds, Summoners, Arcanists, or Thaumaturges, as far as I'm aware. I wouldn't be surprised if something like a needle or scissors or whatever is added in the future for leatherworkers and tailors, though. Shepherds have a little staff as their "Tame Animal" skill icon, but something like a brush would probably make a bit more sense as an eventual tool tbh. The three Ancients jobs I mentioned probably don't really need any form of tools added for them lore-wise? I mean they seemingly just use the power of crystals for everything. They don't even necessarily use their skills that often, so tool boosts for them would probably be kinda...less useful than others, I guess, lol.
I'll have to look for how arrows are made.
Also while I wasn't totally sure of the meaning for the word "cudgel" (not exactly a word you hear all the time, in my defense :p) I kinda just went off of the fact that their in-game sprite looks like a big ol' wooden spoon.
