Ancients, how to find more of them?

I read forums, i searched wiki, but they seem to be outdated.
Besides early encounters where few join, i did once manage to find by chance a room with one in some kind of crystal, but deconstructing the crystal just released them as a neutral and they wouldnt join.
Thing is, i can spam 50+ worker summons, but after a while even they cannot handle the stream of raids, and it costs me the non-replenishable ancients...
So far i seen one trap, but i am yet to use it.
Any advice both for defence and aquiring more ancients is apreciated

You find them underground dungeons and use the free job on the stasis crystal that holds them.

is there a way to detect such rooms? having to grid mine an entire layer seems... tedious
