Fire pit requires coal. To make coal you need fire pit.

I haven't played in over half a year and wanted to try out tundra. I sorta remembered coal to be important for some reason, but I assumed for basic survival wood should be enough to make a fire. I used custom load out.

Imagine my suprise when it needs coal to make a simple fire pit. And to make coal from wood you need the fire pit. This seems wrong.

Now that I know this I can fix it next run, but I believe this should be changed.
(I don't remember if coal can drop from mining, but my guys were already dead before I found any)

You can easily find coal from mining.

you need to mine dirt to find coal for some reason, FYI

Dirt blocks have a 5% chance of dropping coal. Stone blocks like Kalite, Ridgestone, Sandstone, etc have 7.5%. Hope that helps!
