Kidnap bug?
I haven't played this game in a LOOONGGG time. But I remembered stealth enemies would come and kidnap your people. And also random warriors would offer to join and be high level.

Well seems like there is a bug that combines both. Warriors ask to join my group, I say yes, and then they kidnap people and run away.
