Purifying water?
So... I have no idea what I'm doing wrong. I have a well house with the well and barrels, as well as a working fire pit (I know it's working cause the damn villagers won't stop making roast carrots after I told them to), as well as a storage house built specifically for water. Issue is, NO ONE IS PURIFYING THE WATER AND THEY'RE ALL DYING OF THIRST. Also, the auto work order for the well doesn't work, as no one will use it unless I manually order them to collect water. What am I doing wrong?

Sounds like you have no worker with the survivel skill "enabled", which is needed for both of those tasks.

I literally enabled everyone of my 12 colonists with the survival skill. They'll all fetch water when I manually order it, but none of them will purify it. Not sure why, started a new world just to see if it was a bug, new world purified the water no issue.

last time i played it seemed a sure way to have water issues was to allow it to be stored in a barrel. as long as i instead made zones(one square each) on the ground for it there were no problems with distribution. this is based on repeated dehydration sessions that were resolved by kicking water from a barrel onto the floor, to which the settlers react with a mania, as if it is 'forgotten' or 'lost' once placed in storage.

I just uploaded v0.8.10.1 which fixes this issue. So sorry for the inconvenience.

Been in the field for the last few days, sorry for the late response. Always awesome to see a developer take an interest in even bug issues in discussions. Addicted to the game, keep it up!
