How do you get a girl to confess?

I am doing the girls starting with Karen. I am at day 21on my first run(I did do some thins with other girls but decided to do left to right). I have given Karen both gifts but I still need to know her birthday. I have done lioquor hard mode several times now. Am I doing something wrong?

To confess you must know everything about the girl you want and you must give the 2 gifts to her.
