How do you even access any of the DLC paths?
I played before the DLC.

I've done London, and the Scottish campaign. I've done Brittany, and went to rescue some guy's son in the middle east.

I've never seen any extra dialogue options that would imply a path to:

1. French side
2. Becoming king
3. Bounty hunting
4. Anything else?

Like, I keep replaying only to get the 'which random girl is your ending' after the usual 'win'.

It'd be real swell if someone would write a pathing guide, because I'm about to use the threads of fate to fashion a noose.

Haven't found them all myself yet but can help you with 1 and 3. Spoilers ahead -

1 - Choose not to kill De Roche. During the forest negotiations, there are options to chase down a knight for gear. Be greedy and you'll get captured.

3 - Follow the De Montfort path to Rennes with Olivia. Help her until she sics on the bounty hunters. There is a new dialogue to side with them and begin this path.

I haven't done that path either, but I believe you also need to build up a perfect relationship with Eva, as that's part of the reason your life is spared.

Thanks!

Man, they need a guide something fierce - that is incredibly missable, because every time after the first, I avoided chasing for that reason.

Finished the French path; still no clue how to do the 'king' route. Unless it involves accepting Canterbury's offer or something else you'd previously never do...

Romance Alyssa and then frequently talk to her in London chapter - at a certain point she will start giving you tasks. Completing them in time will send you on the kings route.
Really wish you could change the King path so it doesn't require torturing a prisoner. Is it not possible to be a virtuous king?
there are some walkthroughs with all options in the web.
but they are not updated since the last DLCs...I fear, they are on knowledge if your last summer gameplay
Do you know if the event to try to chase the french knight has any additional requirements? I've tried to get that event but haven't been able. I have kept De Roche alive and I still don't get it.

usually, then is the meeting in the woods.
there you fight 2 guards.

then (new) you can decide to chase the knight(s) .

in my case it happened. but...I would not wonder if this is related to any stats like virtue, prestige, relation, reputation....

Honestly, that does seem to be the big issue. Even if you're willing to put up with it, you can't if your virtue is too high. Wish it didn't have to be a low-virtue run.

What I'm wondering is, why does it have to be YOU who does it? Surely, Alyssa must have someone else she can send. Or, couldn't you just send one of your squad members to do it?

Or, can't you just offer the guy some kind of deal in exchange for his cooperation?

Sadly no. I think a part of it is an effort on her part to determine if you're in agreement with her ideology or not, and therefore worthy in her eyes.

If you refuse she goes into a villain speech about the natural hierarchy, and how you need to prove your place in it, and tells you off eventually.
I agree, there should be an option to persuade the prisoner to talk without requiring you to torture him. Maybe offer to break him out if he tells you the truth. You don't have to tell Alyssa how you got the info, and you can still turn on her after you get the King path, just like you can turn on Olivia. Hopefully this option will be part of the expansion of the King path that is being worked on.
OP using your thread to ask a question too. It does look like I walked into the "not a hero" DLC, which isn't too bad - but curious how to avoid that in the next run. Do I just un-install it? Or do I need specific choices to go into the "main" game paths?

I got left by the army in France and had to go by myself with no money :(
