Is there any way to resolve the Olivia situation well (spoilers)
So Olivia turns out to be an evil cultist, one which you can discover on your own or through the alchemist's help. But despite the Alchemist telling me she'd like to meet me, and me being aware of any plots, I can only kill Olivia, and leave her accomplice in charge, and I never meet the Alchemist again, because I have to run. Not only that, but I can't hunt down Ruffin for murdering innocent villagers. Any way for this to be resolved with a good ending besides just saving myself?

I believe you can engage Ruffin before any issues with Olivia. Myself I just left and didn't kill Ruffin when I had a chance

You can actually have a good ending with Olivia if you turn a blind eye on the things she does and not find any evidence that she's into occult stuff. Don't wander into her room and don't try to examine the secret passage there. That should let you progress to the finishing sequence of Rennes' second chapter. After capturing the Onar's farm you will be given a choice to either persue Ruffin or let him escape — once he's dealt with (or escaped) you will be given an option to either stay with Olivia (if you have good relationship and your virtue is low enogh) or move to Paris.

I more meant was there a morally good way to resolve the situation. No matter the scenario, you leave the arguably good moral rebel dead or without his army, or at least a very weakened one, and Olivia in charge, or at worst, her accomplice. Just didn't feel super satisfied with that result. I wouldn't really mind if redeeming Olivia was an option, or if she had to die and you could side with the rebels, and help them create a more just society, but I just don't feel like you leave things in a good way no matter what.

No, a total moral justice cannot be achieved there. You cannot side with rebels as you perceive Ruffin as your mortal enemy.
When it comes to Olivia you can either fully accept her and join her, marry her unknowingly and then abandon once the truth becomes clear or confront her which would result in either you having to flee Rennes or you killing her.

I understand you perceive Ruffin as your mortal enemy, but even leaving the rebels out of the picture, surely some characters would feel morally obligated to stop the occult government and Olivia's accomplices, no? You have the option to spare Ruffin in the other path, I don't see why working with him, or even just taking down the other lord that backed Olivia's plan, so the Rebel lord can take over, wouldn't be an option. Just feels like you leave the government to be ruled by cruel cultists.

I kinda don't understand this. Not only player can be almost as ♥♥♥♥♥♥ as Ruffin, Ruffin actually shows mercy to player if player seek fight with him at the first meeting (and gets his ass kicked).

I agree with CaoLex. Not only can your character be somewhat morally skewed, but you have very good reason to let grudges die, or at least try to work with the rebels while still killing Ruffin. Olivia and her cult are evil.
