Torpedoes are the most useless weapon in this game

Lone submarines have no chance whatsoever against destroyers, it's practically impossible to aim torpedoes and when you do, most ships easily avoid them.

You gotta get pretty close (like 0.3-0.2) and then fire all the torps to the targeted ship, then reverse if more destroyers are around until the torps are reloaded, then repeat.

i know that, but there are some missions where it's practically impossible because you've got 2 destroyers and one PT boat on your ass

You can kill them by making them chase you and then firing rear torpedos straight behind you.
