it was last i checked. recommended method.

I tried with a friend. We really tried. But it didn't work.

We switched to Evolve. Heavier solution but at least it works easily with any game enabling LAN connection.

Gameranger works!! find a room that is open and talk to the people in them. Just ask for help in downloading the online patch as well as the new maps. You will also have to move the new files, as well as the whole game folder (which is in the Steam Folder in one of the program file folder, either x32 or x64), to the C:/ folder to be able to initiate gameplay.
