Report a translation problem
You need to force the Fire Elementals to perform a United Attack. Use attacks to manipulate the timeline between allies and foes’ positions in the turn order. The Phoenix always takes 0 damage in that fight. You are not trying to kill the Phoenix, you’re supposed to set it free. Once the Phoenix has absorbed enough of the fire elementals, it will fly off and end the battle.
That fight is hard, I think it took me a few tries and an almost dead party before I got through that battle.
