Idea: Sandbox Mode and Mods
I think there should be a sandbox mode and the ability to mod the game (preferably by Steam Workshop).
In sandbox mode there should also be features like for example: give yourself (or another company) money.
For modding, I think it should just be custom computer components.

Hi,

If you have even more ideas for a "sandbox mode", please let me know! To me, sandbox mode is more of a base building/creative feature that doesn't really have a sense here - but I'm more than willing to fulfill such ideas as you mentioned.

Maybe I don't understand the concept of sandbox here, I don't really see a benifiot from it as a player, beside the possibilty to test things. A scenario mode where you would have some given objectives (and if you win it the optional possibility to keep on playing). This could be scenarios based on historical circumstances like rescuing an almost bunkrupt company or fictional ones. It would be great if the user could also design his own scenarios and share them via the workshop, but I think this would be very difficult to implement.

Modding: the more moddable the better. But again this might be also very difficult to program. The benifit would be that players could adjust things to their own taste, as this is something which of course is different. Things like company names, staff member names, product names would be the easier ones to implement, but the fun would begin with beeing able to mod the balance of the game like editing or expanding the tech tree. Making it possible would be a huge amount of work I think.

I mostly meant the sandbox mode (for this game) as a way to test mods.

I agree (unfortunately or not).

Hello my friend,

If you'd like to play without competition, you can turn the opponents off when you start a new game (use the checkboxes in the top right corner of the opponents' avatars).

If you'd like to get tons of money to start with, there is a cheat for that. Just friend me and send me a text message, and I will share it with you.

These two things together are more than enough to create a sandbox mode - that is IMHO not really useful. Because the whole point of the game is to rule the market. But because of the requests for it, I might add it eventually anyways.

I hope it helps! :)
