That means you can quite safely expand south for economy without worrying about attack, and you should expand one outpost to the north to create a defensive buffer zone/staging area.
Anti material infantry are very nice for this map because it's a long, narrow path so they can easily support fire. Missile tanks are very nice because they can move while firing so they can easily move out of Carter's rockets. Incidentally these two happen to be OP but no foul when the AI is also cheating right? :)
Starting off it's going to be a real slog but try to harass and cripple the leftmost guy early on. For the other two, once their main base's resources run out you can go harvester hunting and slowly wear their economy down with air, stealth or just fast light units. That should be about 15 minutes in or so.
And you can look forward to Mission 15 where you fight two Carter tanks
-step 1 focus on your economy in early game, refineries and harvesters
-get for HQ that Update that doubles the energy, you can save this way money on power plants
-use right weapons, put just rockets and max armor on every unit
best combo is trooper healer and that anti tank gun trooper
as for light vehicles its armor+ tank tracks + rocket launcher
heavy not really needed
air is waste of money
with that combo I did beat the entire story.
This distracts the AI from attacking you and slows down their economy to make their attacks more manageable.
My is this refinery, power plant, refinery, refinery, power plant, barracks, (spam units) light vehicles.(spam units) Power plant, refinery "the upgrade building", and now you are unstoppable.
try maybe to add some healing towers.
FoBa isn't very turtle friendly at all i have to agree, turrets are too weak and short ranged. It's kind of silly missile turrets do 30 damage, but tanks do 42
I also only used 3 units. I used rocket infantry, rocket buggy and rocket tank with improved armor and tracks. They were all tier 2 and quite cheap to build. I also built rocket turrets.
The tactic is to basically kite with your rocket squads all the while pumping them out with 3 barracks, light factory and heavy factory. It is great that rockets can fire while moving. Also keep an eye out on your harvesters. If you keep them alive and have a steady income then you should be good on Hard difficulty.
