Are there different levels of Ai setting?

Is Skirmish fun?

Can I alter how they get supplies (increase/decrease) to allow for a harder Ai to not be able to also steamroll over me?

Is Turtle mode (tm) a fun thing and possible in this game?

I enjoyed Dune and C&C up to but not including 4.

I gave it a try but the having to "grind" to be able to use tech in skirmish games is a non-starter for me.

I want access to ALL tech in the game and then make me choose which techs per level I want.

Not have to grind X number of hours to "unlock" tech for my single player experience.

Also, the game is a little too colorful for a war game.

I will continue to follow it however.

Yes, and you can set it differently for each AI in a skirmish game.

Is Skirmish fun?

That's up to you, but if you like playing skirmish in other RTS games then I'd wager it would be fun for you.

No, but I haven't seen any indication that the AI cheats with its economy.

Is Turtle mode (tm) a fun thing and possible in this game?

It may be possible to turtle up depending on what map you play, but you can't build walls.

I loved Dune and the other C&C games and I feel the devs got scrwd by electronic arts, and I am giving this game a try, I have grey goo but this is what I hope will be my C&C fix.
