waiting a Devs' reply, no info about a sequel. Maybe a content update in the future.
At KHG we're fully focused on Door Kickers 2 (the top down thing) right now.
Pixelshard, the lead studio on Action Squad, is currently toying with a sequel-ish game. Not straight sequel, not identical, but could be interesting to play when its done ^^
Are you still updating the original DK Action Squad or have plans to add more characters or anything like that?
Although i realize Aliens as videogame has been done to death, and maybe my trying to turn DKAS into a sidescrolling Helldivers is a hopeless cause, well, I'd love to see this engine/pixelized look used for something sci-fi like that as a sequel-in-spirit.
Maybe instead of saving hostages, we could save people from alien brood nests turning them into more aliens. :) Perhaps instead of defusing bombs, we'd install them in alien nests and need to fight our way out to a map extraction point before it detonated. :) Scenario would have room for more weapons (still projectiles, but maybe laser, plasma, flamethrower etc.) and sci-fi gear.
I guess I can only vote - for more DKAS - with my dollars and writing a positive review, which I did back in the day (2017). I bought both Door Kickers games even though I suck at both and can barely figure out the basics in DK2. I bought DKAS and now finally the DLC. I don't think I need the sound track :) But otherwise, I've voted with my money as much as I could. :)
If we don't get anything further, I'm still finding everything DKAS still a blast to play, these several years later. :)
P.S. Although the cool moving Tanks in the DLC make me wonder if PixelShard was pondering something along those lines. :)
