Hunter Miller dies before meeting big brother

Hi there! I'm trying to save Hunter Miller, but he keeps dying in his house even before I meet Big Brother. I wasn't able to give him meds when he asked for them (though I did a little later) but I try not to take ALL his non-rotten food while trading him good food. What do I need to do to keep that poor slob alive? I'm on day 28 and he's dead.

Thank you! Didn't realize trading with him too much would kill him if I was trading him fresh food and meds. He is alive and happy in the sanatorium now =).

On another note, this is a fun game! Keep finding new things in this game - explodey hazmat guys, herding bugs in the fog + molotovs, just picked up a weird new weapon called a butcher blade, ... I am excited to finish this round and head onto the DLC and challenge mode!
